Hello,

I am trying to run an application in fullscreen mode, and its just this application that will be displaying various info on the screen. Therefore I want to hide everything else. I can hide the Launcher, but how do I hide the top menu bar at the very top of the screen. Because when I run the application, I can still see the top menu bar.

I'm thinking of this menu bar

Is there any way I can hide it? I've tried to google for solutions, but no go. The application is signageplayer from digitalsignage.

Is it possible to hide or disable the top menu bar at all, regardless of which application one wants to run in fullscreen mode? I was running this app on Ubuntu 11.04, where the Gnome panel was disabled/hidden as gnome-panel.old And therefore there were no problems.

But from what I can gather, the top menu bar in 12.10 is part of Unity, and not Gnome?

Thanks for any feedback. :)
