I am running Kubuntu 12.10 right now. I love the look of the older KDE so I wanted to install Trinity. Well I followed all of the instructions here: http://www.trinitydesktop.org/wiki/bin/view/Documentation/UbuntuBinaryInstallation with no luck. When I type in
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-default-settings-trinity kubuntu-desktop-trinity I get something in return, see screenshot attached. What am I doing wrong?

Read closer at the link as for adding the different repositories to your source lists
Which in your case none for 12.10 only supported for 12.04.

As trying to backport and downgrading libraries and older packages will end causing breakage and an unstable system.

If you really want it then you will have to install 12.04 Ubuntu KDE.

At the bottom they do have liveCD Ubuntu with Trinity pre-installed.

Ah ha! I did not see that, I guess it would help if I read and paid attention more closely....
