View Full Version : [other] Access Webserver behind Router

I have set up a webserver in my network. I now need to access this from any computer.

(server) >> (router) >?> (any pc)

>>> | set up
>?> | not set up

I know what you're going to say. PORT FORWARDING. I can't. The old tech guy at my company left without giving us the router password.

you won't be able to without being able to forward ports on the router to the server. there is a process in which you can reset the router to the factory defaults in which case the username and password will be back to default which you can google those by brand/model number.

Be sure before you reset it that you save a config file of it's setting in case it is highly customized (however I am not sure if besides saving the settings it also saves the username and password for administration), there's normally an option within the admin settings of the router. it'll save it as like a .cfg or something weird.

Good luck
