hi everyone at the ubuntu forum im just downloading this o/s to try out anyone give me any suggestions as to what things i need to do first to make it a little easier to use untill i get the hang of this thanx very much sandog):P

My best suggestion would be to install VirtualBox and a virtual instance of Ubuntu (same flovour). When following any 3rd party guides run them in the virtual machine first, so you don't damage the main OS. It can save you some time in the long run, I've learnt the hard way many times.

As for the UI just take time getting used to it. Ubuntu is one of the best OS's (imo) now with the whole ecosystem. Take full advantage of it - Ubuntu One/Music.
