Hi there.

I have a really wierd problem with my sound...
I have ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit installed.
My motherboard is a Asrock P43DE, modelpage below
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P43DE

My graphicscard isa a msi Radeon Hd 7750

I installed the Radeon drivers according to this tutorial:
http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Precise_Installation_Guide
That seemed to work fine.

The thing is that when I use my headphones I can get sound bort from my frontpanel on my case as well as with line out on the motherboard.

BUT, I cant get any sound to my LCD TV from any of these outputs. I have tried to connect my TV with a 3,5mm plug in both the front and back outputs but cannot get any sound at all to the tv. As i said, with my headphones everything is OK.

Since I have a dual installation with Windows 7 I can reboot to that and get sound to the TV both from the front panel and fron the rear,

How is this possible?
How can I get sound to my headphones but not to my tv from the same outputs?
Both outputs work fine with both headphones and tv in Windows 7.

Somebody please help me because its driving me insane and I dont want to reboot everytime I want to watch a movie in my bedroom.

Just sp you know, I am a complete noob but i really want to make the shift to Linux so please help me in a way that a mortal noob can understand.

I can ad that before I installed the drivers the sound worked as it should, I got sound on my tv from both front and back panel.
