Does anyone know anything about kubuntu? Is this distribution really a Ubuntu distribution?
I have been to the Ubuntu site and they do not seem to mention it or have any details on it.

Just to make sure people don't walk away thinking otherwise:

KUbuntu = Ubuntu - GNOME + KDE from Universe.

See kubuntu-desktop package from Universe. :)

I think kubuntu is fairly new that some people hardly know anything about it. It's a modification of ubuntu with KDE as default desktop manager.

Its pretty nice. I tried it a week ago, and its a nice KDE desktop. Didn't load newly mounted things on the desktop like I like, but that why I don't uninstall Gnome....

The best part is its meta packages....full working KDE desktop in no time....
