I would explain my problem more thorough but I just have no idea what's wrong. looked around for similar threads but since I cant really tell what my problem is I might have overlooked an obvious thread.. so yeah..

I just installed 12.10 and I'm pretty sure this is not what it's supposed to look like: http://postimage.org/image/4292i2h8j/http://ubuntuforums.org/http:/http://postimage.org/image/4292i2h8j/http://postimage.org/image/4292i2h8j/
it's just not software center but pops up everywhere.. even in the OS installer window.

So what's wrong and how can i fix it if possible.

I'm not sure if I am seeing what you're seeing but in this link <http://postimage.org/image/4292i2h8j/> everything seems fine to me. What do you see that seems wrong?

EDIT: My mistake now I see your issue. I would try searching for restricted graphic drivers. Look at the second point on this link for more information:

the icons for history and progress as well as titles and prices below, it appears at random and will "jump around" when the text/icons are being updated or showing an animation, as in the progress icon spinning.

EDIT: thanks i'll look into it

Never mind, I had to look twice to see what the problem is, and I'd suggest it's a graphics driver problem too.

It's up top under thread tools on the right hand side.
