This may seem odd but this happens to me a lot...

I'm using a web browser and decide to move it out the way and when I let go of the left mouse button the window is positioned in such a way that the bar at the top completely covers the bar on the window

in other words I can no longer drag the window because the window bar is behind the ubuntu screen bar for the app

I can't move it, I can't resize it... ugh. I can not believe someone designed it this way. they should of prevented you moving the window so that the bar is 100% covered so you can still click on it and bring it back.

So how do I move this window now?

Hold down Alt and click anywhere in window.

Hey, thanks for the tip!

GIMP was stuck so that the Tools window header was lost underneath the upper panel. I managed to grab one pixel and pull it down, but the Alt trick woulda been much easier!
