Imac G3 333mhz 6gb 128mb
Before I updated to dapper I had sound but the sound icon in the taskbar was invisible (very strange). I installed xfce desktop later and the icon worked in that. Later on I upgraded; and the icon is there and the sound worked for a about 2 days and then one day it was gone. There is no sound in xfce or gnome the sound stuff looks like it should work it knows the mac burgendy speaker board or whatever is there but, there is no sound. This is a tragedy for me, I use sound a lot. I don't even want to use the imac anymore until I fix the sound problem please HELPPP MEEE!
P.S. Supposedly there is a microphone at the top middle (a little hole). How do you use it in ubuntu; does it detect it?
