Just upgraded my system to 12.10 from 12.04. I've been experiencing a slow desktop environment. I went from 60+ fps (it was so smooth :P ) to about 10-15 fps. It's noticeable even when I drag the windows around. It feels like the display driver has died and all the acceleration is happening in software or something.
Can someone help me troubleshoot this? I'm using Cinnamon now (not 2d), but I've tried with Unity - it's the same thing.
