Does it have a DVD/CD drive? If so, that is one way to go. You boot from the optical drive by holding down C as the machine starts up.

If not, use Ubuntu on a USB stick. Holding Alt on startup should give you the option of booting from the USB stick.

Hey!

There is a dvd drive bay. :)

I have tried USB first, when it says it has been installed, and i reboot there just comes a "folder" icon with a ? on top.. then nothing more happens.. :(

like there is no os system on the disk..

Ok. So the installation completed. If you boot while holding Alt, does it give you the choice of booting Ubuntu?

What about using the USB stick to boot into rescue mode? Can you then choose to boot from the hard drive? If so it might be worth trying to re-install Grub.

I assume you're not dual booting OS X.

So easy that i can run clean ubuntu without os x ?

EDIT:

Boot camp says the following to me, do i split my drive into 2 partition, and try again ?

EDIT2: got rid off the message. but would love some advice on what to do next :D

√ Create a win 7 install disk

√ Download the latest Windows support software from apple ?

Just go on and install. You don't need the support for Windows, obviously :p :)
