I have been really liking xubuntu, it has been a great thing for me to get my old lappy running again with software that doesn't slow me down.
But I was thinking... wouldn't it be nice to have a special style of install for thin clients. So that you can go from kernel to xdmcp, vnc, shh, telnet, or what ever you like... it is all setup in install.
I think this idea would be great to see in edgy+1. Too late for edgy I am guessing.
It could be a part of the server cd. one install for thinbuntu server, another for the thin clients. or even a copy thinbuntu install to usbdisk for install on disklet clients.
What can I do to help this happen?
And as always tell me what you think...

That sounds like a fine idea, but I noticed the date stamp of your post, so I guess everybody is busy enough already....

I have found that edubuntu does something similar. But I woud like something that isn'ät about education but more on business. Thats why a focus on thin clients would be nice.
Thanks for the comment dude.
I still am working on making my own little virsion of ubuntu that can do this.

If you are still interested I have started creating a derivative of xubuntu designed for thin client systems. There is no server as yet but that may be something I work on once the thin client has reached a suitable stage of development.
