After upgrading to Hoary I notice the sound and music (mp3 and radio) coming out from my computer sounds better. Have the changes in Hoary really affects the sound quality?
Or it could just be my imagination, placebo effects and etc.

Maybe sound configuration was a little better.
I had to install several things and tweaks to get good sound on Warty. Here I needed nothing.
I'm not discarding that is maybe just us, but I know I'm happy -overall- with Hoary and sounds.

I'm not running it myself, but Hoary ditched ESD in favour of polyaudio.

Uhh .... I installed Hoary last week, ESD by default .
No trace of Paudio here .

First I did an apt-get dist-upgrade. Then curious about Hoary installer, download ISO and try installing from scratch.

Didn't they switch back to ESD because of unforeseen problems with Polypaudio?
