I've replaced Chromium with Firefox, and (stupidly) didnít remove the Chromium icon in the application launch bar in the way I should have (I have since found a detailed guide on the internet). The upshot of this is that my manager launcher icon has disappeared from the bar, and that I donít seem to have a way of accessing the application launch bar settings. Is it possible that I deleted something else when I got rid of the Chromium icon? Is there a way of restoring things without having to do a new install?[-o<

Hi Florio. You should mention which flavour of Ubuntu and which version it is that you are referring to. Perhaps the new Lubuntu 12.04 install on your wife's netbook? :p

Yes, sorry about that!
You guessed correctly; it is in fact Lubuntu 12.04.

Hello Florio,
What do you get when you right click on the panel? If a menu comes up chose Panel Preferences and then navigate to Panel Applets. From there you can add or delete applications. Just add Application Launch Bar.
