Hey,
I have ported myself over from OS X and using F12 isn't cutting for me as right click. I would much rather ctrl-click. I read in this forum that the particular key could be mapped differently. That makes perfect sense but I don't know how.
Anyone?

I'm currently away from my linux computer but if you're just looking for a place to start looking, I would try gconf-editor under apps->metacity->(something along the lines of key bindings.) This is assuming you're using Gnome and have not installed Compiz.

One of the first things I did after I bought my PowerMac was to buy a regular mouse with a wheel and two buttons. I haven't had to control-click in two years.

Yeah, using a laptop and don't want to carry an additional thing with me.
I didn't ever figure out how to make the key bindings work, there are several questions about this in the forums if you search for it.
If you find it and wanted to post it I would greatly appreciate it.

I use mouseemu as described here: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=1124027&postcount=2
