guys may I ask what are the pros and cons of using an old version of ubuntu? like 10.10. I have installed 12.04 but always having problem with my broadcom wireless card every time there's new linux-headers, but this work perfectly in previous version and headers.

Hi seaamx.

10.10 is no longer supported so I wouldn't recommend it.

10.04 LTS would be a better choice since it will be supported until April 2013.

Regards.

if you are having that problem, you could try locking the linux image (kernel), so it does not update.

this is how (http://tazbuntu.blogspot.co.uk/2008/11/lock-software-or-kernel-versions.html) and here is a picture (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PinningHowto?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=lockver.png)
