View Full Version : [ubuntu] gnome not working

This is a new problem. i happened yesterday after i upgraded my gnome 3.4.1 to gnome 3.5.4. the first problem was that my wallpaper completely changed with different shades of flurosent green and violetlike the picture. then i realised that the gnome environment stopped working too. i tried to downgrade and reinsatlled gnome shell but in vain.please help

Did you mean to post in the lubuntu section?

The image you posted is of Unity.

If you are trying to get into the gnome shell you will need to tab through the selects on the log-in screen and press the space bar to select gnome. There is a bug report out on this and it will likely be fixed soon. Hope this is what you were talking about.

i didnt know it was a unity picture,but there is something wrong right?

i did select gnome from the drop-down at the login screen and its not showing up.only the wallpaper. can you tell me how to delete gnome completely?and i really need a help on the weird wallpaper

i took the screen shot in ubity cuz gnome didnt work.and now unity is gone too.not working

Prefix changed from lubuntu to ubuntu.
