N.B. The tag is wrong and I can't find a way to change it. I'm using Kubuntu 606 not Ubuntu 5.10.

So this Secret Maryo game looks like it might be fun

There's no .deb package there so I tried building from the source. The build process bombs with

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lCEGUIOpenGLRenderer

I found this http://www.archivum.info/linux.debian.bugs.dist/2006-06/msg02304.html
which I think explains why the build fails.

Anyone know how to get the game to build or where there's a .deb for Ubuntu?

Yep, it answers my question of 'is this going to be too much effort?' and the answer is yes.

Well thanks for the link to the other post, definitely explained why I couldn't get it to compile. I agree with the guy that posted in the other forum that all this isn't worth it to play the game. Maybe someday it'll be in the repos.

It's a shame because I'm starting to enjoy playing v.96, but for some reason I can't save my place in the game. So I always have to start from the beginning, which is getting kinda old fast. I was hoping the new release would fix this, but apparently it won't install in linux (easily). Too bad. The developers seem to be mostly interested in Windows users.
