Will it be in the REPOS replacing the current FGLRX driver??

Why? Does it offer so may bugfixes?
At least the bug with 3d accell. on 9000 to 9250 cards still is not fixed... Would the repo-maintainers be able to replace the libGL.so.1.2 in it, with the version from 8.24? That would be terrific work!

from the release notes there are only 3bug fixes.
But hopefully this bug is fixed:

Will let U know once I test them

This won't be making it into the repos.... I can only forsee a later release possibly making it into dapper-updates or dapper-backports however, due to the R200 difficulties.

Ill start to compile them manually then. But ATM am quite busy with migrating my Win2k3 server to UBUNTU LINUX.

There are really only two improvements notated in the changelog.

DFP hotpluggin and thermal event power management. If neither of these is particularly appealing, then you'll probably be fine with the revision sitting in the repositories instead (8.25.18).
