Is there a way to do a base install of Ubuntu for server purposes? Maybe a flag that passes before initial install where it prompts the user before continuing.
Of course this is aside from doing apt-get remove package-name

At least with Warty, when you boot up the first time off the CD, enter "linux custom" and that will let you install just the base system. I've not tried this with the Hoary preview but it should probably work also.
