OK, guys. I have been wanting to start calculating pi for a while now. I need a program that can support 8-cores. Mind you, I'm not trying to set records, this is just for fun.

I have downloaded y-cruncher, but can't get it to work.

Octave, and I would guess Matlab as well, supports multi core processors, you might have to install additional packages. Just Google 'gnu octave multicore'.
You also might wanna check out Scilab while you're at it.
