I'm looking for suggestions for HPC cluster software that runs well on ubuntu. I looked into perceus but, it's no longer available for download. Any ideas? I prefer diskless compute nodes.

KestrelHPC worked for me, but I don't think they've released anything new since 2010 so I'm not sure whether it is currently under development.

I was just looking at that too. Considering I'll be running it on 10.04 it might be ok. How's the support? Also, can you make changes to the OS and then push to the nodes?

It's been a while since I used it, but as I remember you can make a new default image at any time and push it.

especially important for other suggestions as I can't get kestrelHPC to work on my Dell R810 servers. (not sure if it makes a difference but they have 256gb memory, and four Xeon E74830 processors)

so no one uses ubuntu for clustering? Why not? Should I just go with Debian.
