Hi,

Installed Ubuntu 12.04 yesterday.
I created a user during installation, then I added a second user afterwards.

For the first user I changed the icon size in the launcher simply by going to Settings--> Appearance, then change icon size.

For the second user this does not work. I resize the icons with the bar, but nothing happens. I tried to do the same with compiz settings manager, this does not work either.
The second user is assigned to sudo group and as administrator, but I do not think the group has anzthing to do woth this.

Any ideas?

You might try Ubuntu Tweak and see if it will do it.

Hi ,
try to install MyUnity package. It is already in Ubuntu Offical Repos and you can install it via Software Center.

Then try to change the icon size from there.

Another option might be to compare the groups for 2 users and see if something is different.

groups <name>
Thanks
