I'm not a techie but I am trying to learn as mush as possible about my new Ubuntu install.

I have a question about Firefox. When I'm at home, Firefox works great with no problems at all. I have a router that is compatible with Linux.

When I'm at work or another location Firefox becomes slow or simply will not load a webpage.

Could this be due to the fact that not all servers have Linux ports? Or is there another reason for this phenomenon? Overall, I'm really happy with my Ubuntu machine, but I'd like to learn more.

Thanks!

It could be the bandwidth being shared by the Internet connection of these other locations you are using. I know when I'm at work there are times that the Internet can drag but it is typically dependent upon how many other devices are also using the Network.

Is IPV6 support disabled in firefox? If not, try that.
