View Full Version : 32 v 64 bit?

I notice that in the ubuntu downloads, when given a choice between 32 & 64 bit, only the 32 is "recommended". Is this still the better bet even on a 64-bit computer?

Use the 64 bit version

Linus does not like PAE or 32 bit.
It is down to very few apps that do not work in 64 bit.

Sorry for not searching first. I usually do - honest.
But on this topic ... a suggestion:
Remove the "recommended" from the 32-bit download choice.

Believe me, if anyone here had the power to change the download recommendation, it would've been done a long time ago.
