I'm trying ubuntu on a dual boot with windowsxp. I would love to get away from windows. I am using a gateway mx500 laptop. I am having trouble with the wireless network settings. Can't connect to internet. I have looked at several guides and can't find what i need. If anyone knows a good guide or can give me a step by step I would really appreciate it. this is the only thing really slowing me down. I am not real familiar with any linux versions. I have tried a few others but couldn't get the feel for them. any help would be appreciated. thank you in advance.

You would probably get more help posting in the Desktop Support section of this forum.
