Hi folks

I upgrade my system, as everyone does. But apparently it does more than upgrading. The global menu functionality in Libre Office disappeared. And my system freezes about once a day. So I have to use the power button trick I was used to when using Windows. Ubuntu is growing to be more and more like Windows, a shame!

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Thank!

You haven't provided enough information for us to usefully help you yet.
What version of Ubuntu are you running?
What's the power button trick?
What do you mean by "Ubuntu is growing to be more and more like Windows": Looks like Windows? Sounds like Windows? A Start Menu appeared?
What are your symptons? Be exact! Did they appear at the same time? Are there any error messages? Are there any symptoms beyond the two you mentioned?

LibreOffice Global Menu disappeared:
Any messages in /var/log/syslog when you start LibreOffice?

Mysterious freezes:
Does it unfreeze? Crash? Hang?
What freezes? Screen? Cursor? Can you CTRL+ALT+F1 and get a tty console login?
After unfreeze or restart, is there a message at freeze-time in dmesg or syslog?
