I have 2 laptops from Advent...one operated by XP..the other using Windows 7..and both have Synaptics Touchpads...
When wanting to adjust the settings for the pads I follow the usual route via Mouse in Control panel......both have the Synaptics Device Button...BUT...on my XP Machine in the Control Window it reads Synaptics Touchpad and the settings button allows me to make the desired adjustments...
However, the Windows 7 machine shows 'Wheelmouse Pst2' and the settings button just opens a few useless areas for adjusting this feature !.
I have downloaded and installed the Drivers from Synpaptics....also uninstalled and reinstalled these...all to no avail. My Touchpad is oversensitive..the cursor responds accordingly to this...I have no desire to keep turning the Pad on and off...I just want to be able to adjust it to my touch and liking..
i've tried Advent and Synaptics to no avail...SO please someone HELP,,( If possible !)..
