Hello all,

Running amd64 ubuntu 12.04 on my home media pc in my living room. I like to sit on my sofa and use my wireless keyboard to watch videos, listen to music and watch TV. My keyboard (Logitech K360) has volume control buttons that work great for videos and music, but not for the TV.

My TV card was bought in 1998 and is a bit funny. It works, but yknow.... I have my TV audio coming in through the line-in and the video through an s-video cable into my tvcard. My tv box is BT vision (UK) which provides a fixed gain audio output.

When I hit volume up/down on my keyboard I the volume does not go up or down. When I open a terminal and use alsamixer, move the cursor right to "line" I can use arrow up/down to change the volume.

How do I rig up the volume up/down buttons to control the alsa line in volume as well??

AlsaMixer reports a HDA ATI SB card with a Realtek ALC892 chip. The sound all works fine, I just can't control the line in volume from the buttons on my keyboard

Any help would be great
