View Full Version : I need help installing Emperor: rise of the middle Kingdom with WINE

everything appears to load including Adobe Acrobat reader 5 and directX, but when the installation is complete where is the start icon? do I need to save the file elsewhere then the default C://...?

you might want to check out winehq.com and the app database there. they have a pretty good list of specific solutions to problems when installing games usuing. check the appdb there

Ok so there is not neceserily a start icon. But why would you need start icon? Anyway game appers to be platinum in winehq that means it works perfectly. So once you have installed the game you have two choices to start it up. !st it may work that you start autorun exe and it might be able to see the installation and thus start the game if not the open terminal and code
cd .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/SIERRA/EmperorRMK/ (if my memory is not mistaken) check with ls if exe file is there and then run it with the following:
wine emperor.exe (if i recall correctly)
play the game
