Hi
Has anyone got SPDIF (optical) output working on the Asus Xonar DS?
Alsamixer gives me two SPDIF channels, one called SPDIF and one called SPDIF loopback - that I have never seen before. If I unmute SPDIF loopback, I at least get a light out of the physical output, but it doesn't contain any data it seems. Muting and unmuting the other SPDIF channel seems to do nothing.
I am using MPD as the audio source and I have MPD via SPDIF working fine on other PCs and other soundcards, but can't get it working on the Xonar DS and I just wondered if anyone has been successfull.
This is on Lubuntu 12.04, so the ALSA driver does support the Xonar DS according to the ALSA wiki.
