gnome-calculator doesn't launch from unity bar

When running gnome-calculator from terminal it launches, when locking it to unity sidebar and clicking to launch, doesn't work. Issue in both 12.04 and 12.10

unlock from the launcher & then log out/in

Then open Dash, search calculator & drag on to launcher
or
Browse to /usr/share/applications & drag on to launcher

(if icon is black do a log out in

If that doesn't work right there is one other way but above should work
