Hi everyone. I'm really hoping someone can shed some light on this problem. I'm running Lubuntu 12.04 on an Asus eee pc 1015px and its been freezing up sometimes when I try and print pdfs. I've tried printing them through both the standard document viewer that comes with Lubuntu and with the lp command line tool. With some pdfs (not all) and only some of the time when I try to print Lubuntu freezes up completely and I'm forced to do a hard restart. My printer is a brother HL-2040.
I've also been having problems with my USB ports, sometimes lubuntu does not boot and hangs while registering the usb ports (it seems to register some of them and then gets stuck doing the last one) so it might be related to that.
Any help for either problem would be great. This problem is getting rather annoying as I've been printing a lot of pdfs to study for my exams.

(sorry if this is in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where to post).
