Please help printer driving me insane!

Hi everyone I have a

HP Deskjet 1055 PRINT SCAN COPY printer and I have HPLIP downloaded as well

I no longer have windows on my computer it is "gone", period.. So there's no way to print this document at home.. anyway

for some reason it doesn't list 1055 and I've tried to get this thing to work , it lists it as the HP Deskjet 1000-J series but that's wrong.

I'm not sure how to get this thing to print now... It printed before but was because I was using Ubuntu 10.10

And this is 10,04, it is also a version a friend made for me.

Any help is much appreciated, if I can't use this printer anymore with this computer, Im going to have print at the library oh well..
