Hey,

Trying to install Slam Soccer 2006. I have the Sun 1.5 Java RE from the PLF repo installed, and have run the install script, which copies all the files onto the system. But when I try to run the game nothing happens (even when I try to run it directly from /usr/games/bin).

Do I still need to type something after the Java install in Dapper (I remember I had to do that in Breezy, though can't remember what I typed). Otherwise, I have no idea what could be wrong, so any ideas would be welcome.

http://www.xenoage.com/bp2k6/en/ for the game site if anyone cares.

Thanks in advance!

Why didn't you just install the java from multiverse - sun-java5-jre?

No reason. I just happened to install the PLF package.

But ok, PLF package removed, multiverse package installed, same problem.
Any other ideas? :p

You have to choose the java version to use with a certain command, I can't remember it for the life of me, the answer is in the forums here somewhere. Anyways, I do know that even after installing 1.5 it still uses the old built in java by default.
