View Full Version : [xubuntu] "power manager" distractingly spammy

Hi all,

searched for this but didn't find it.

I keep getting "power manager" popups telling me either "battery charging, 2 mins to complete" or "battery draining, only 6 hours left" (depending on whether I'm plugged in or not).

Is there a setting I can tweak to shut it up somewhat? I don't need minute-by-minute battery status updates, I just need to know if the power manager's about to kick the system into hibernate. Kind of annoying when I'm trying to work.

Any ideas? Thanks guys! :)

In Xubuntu, right-click on the battery icon, and open the XFCE power manager.

Uncheck the box for notifications.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll try that. It will still tell me about impending hibernation events, right?
