(lyrics translated to English)

From the depths I called out to you
Come to me
Upon your return, the light will return to my eyes
Im not finished, Im not leaving the touch of your hands
May it come and light up to the sound of your laughter
From the depths I called out to you
Come to me
Against the moon that lights your way back to me
They spread out and melted against the touch of your hands
In your ears I whisper, and ask
Whos that calling out to you tonight, listen up
Who sings out loud to you, to your window
Who gave his soul so youd be happy
Who will give a hand and build your home
Who will give his life, and put it beneath yours
Who will live as dust beneath your feet
Who will love you more than all other loves
Who will save you from every living spirit

There's too many for an all-time thingee.

My current favorite is probably Them Crooked Vultures - Bandoliers.

I, like any normal human, also go through phases of having different favorites. But I always come back to "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin.

It's difficult to say, because there are so many songs that I absolutely love. Although, if I have to choose, I'd have it say it's currently "Why?" by Tracy Chapman.

Did you know that side 1 of "You" was mixed in quadrophonic? I do, I was there :)

I don't think it was released in quad because there were three different encoders/decoders on the market and people weren't buying them.
But hey, get some old vinyl and you could have guitars flying around your room :guitar:

As for my track "All along the watchtower" by Hendrix

"Wish you were here " ..Pink Floyd.

Mine would also likely be something Pink Floyd. Maybe "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", another 'we miss you Sid' number ;)

Or something off The Wall - i love Roger Waters' lyrics.

My fav from Pink Floyd has always been Comfortably Numb. The song to me sings about wanting to be set free, but instead constantly being forced to conform to the world.

'Tried so hard' does it for me :)
Or maybe 'How to stay alive' from '2032'.

Agreed. Epic song, probably one of the songs that compelled me to take up guitar playing :)

So Rammstein eh? You heard of KMFDM? They're one of my all-time favourites; a similar style to Rammstein, though more electronica.

Or maybe 'How to stay alive' from '2032'.

I love their "Acid Motherhood" album (as well as many other albums by them); especially "Brainwash Me". Really good.

As for my favorite song, it's impossible for me to say, since I have lots of "favorite songs", but I've been listening the Primus' "Antipop" album lately and I find it really good. One song from this album I like a lot is "Lacquer Head".

As many of the others have already stated, I can't really pick favorites. If we were to go with something quasi-objective, my last.fm Top Tracks rankings:

Overall - Bob Mould, "Paralyzed"
Last 12 months - Econoline Crush, "Thorn"
Last 6 (and 3) months - Florence + the Machine, "No Light, No Light"
Last month - Garbage, "Automatic Systematic Habit"
Last 7 days - Jukebox the Ghost, "Somebody"

It's hard to pick a single song as my top favorite, however, I'll list here my longest standing top contender for being my favorite song, which would undoubtedly be "Black" by Pearl Jam.

Of all of the live "Black" performances I've been, the 1992 MTV Unplugged performance is the one that grabs me the most.

Excellent, i'm really pleased you like it. Thats a fairly indicative song of their general 'sound', but they have some tunes that are heavier, more guitar based, and ones that are purely electronica. I quite like their diversity.

As an aside, the genre term for KMFDM and similar bands is Industrial Rock (or Industrial Metal, depending on who you ask; I personally can't lump them into the Metal category, although Rammstein would largely fit that description). Chances are there's a Mortal Kombat soundtrack reference somewhere in here too.

For that matter, others in that (Industrial Rock and Metal) category are Stabbing Westward, Gravity Kills, Orgy, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Megaherz, L'me Immortelle, Oomph!, White Zombie, Econoline Crush, Porcelain and the Tramps/Porcelain Black, etc. There's also precursor and hybrid genres that have the same sorts of influences, such as Elektro (Skinny Puppy), Electronic Body Music/Industrial Dance (Front 242), Goth-Industrial (The Birthday Massacre), Alternative Dance (Depeche Mode), Dark Synthpop (ThouShaltNot)...
