I am looking at this service manual for my monitor and would like to know what it says, especially the first page with red text image

I believe it tells how to get into the service modes

the manual is mostly in english except for this area.

Google translate or a similar service might help...the translations you get are far from perfect, but they are often good enough to give you an overall view of the content...

Google translate cannot handle that pdf as it is too large.

The brand and model of your monitor would help. :)

Seeing that PDF you linked to is for Samsung model numbers 206BW, 226BW, 206NW, 226NW, 216BW 223BW I can only assume that the information on the pages you need applies to all of the listed models.

Here is a service manual for 206BW & 226BW models and the info you require is in English that you can view online,

Hi thanks.
monitor is a 216bw

that last pdf says to hold menu key for 5 seconds after adjusting to zero contrast and brightness. For 216bw did not work.

I found that press and hold source did work as said on this other link. Service menu looks different from these pictures.

Perhaps you could ask the guys at http://forum.ubuntu.org.cn/ to give you help translating that PDF?

I found a manual here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/216BW

I tried it on my Samsung 2253BW and it worked fine.
