Installed and run Americas Army version 250 succesfully. (see Ubuntu wiki, Americas army to get and install the game). Really a great game.
However, the fps seems to be fairly low (or drop) compare to the Windows counterpart. Its barely playable. Is this something to expect with the current driver (all updates from today) or is it some xorg configuration problem?

I dont know why you are having the problems it runs pretty good on my system which has an ati unfortunatly so it may just be the driver

And aa 2.6 will most likely NOT be released. Ryan said he will try and work with it in his spare time to get it up and running but if not oh well basically because the army stopped all support a long time ago. He ported 2.5 over for free but as he states he has real paying customers and their needs come first.

I have an Nvidia 6600 (registers as a 6600 GT via the drivers. Maybe I got lucky) I've been having issues with frame rates in all of my games. They just don't stay consistant. They'll jump from 17-120fps in Doom 3, even with the FPS capped at 60.
