Is there a way to delete my posts from Ubuntu Pastebin? If no, will these be there forever ? Is the paste link forever ? What if I accidentally paste some data which I don't want to be public, not on pastebin either ?

Is that really the answer ? The first comment is completely wrong I guess. For example check here (http://paste.ubuntu.com/101010/). You can see the date along with the post. What I really want to know is what if I want to avoid this ? I don't want somebody with a lucky random number get my post. Is there a way ?

Thanks for the answer though NikTh :)

I subscribed because I was interested in the answer as well.

I can offer one suggestion for future postings - while the Ubuntu pastebin is very easy to use, it doesn't have an expiration option that I can find.

This pastebin does offer an expiry when you create it:

I see an entry on pastebin which states:

You are currently not logged in, this means you can not edit or delete anything you paste. Sign Up or Login

Although I am not signed up, it would seem to indicate that if you are a registered user you would have the capability of deleting your pastes. I would expect you could do so even if you didn't set an automatic expiration. :-)

I would also expect that even if you registered you would not be able to delete pastes you made prior to registration, since it probably didn't record user data at that point. :-(
