Hi guys! I have tried a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 on my PC from my pen drive (as it works perfectly with 11.10 version). When installation is about to begin, at the point of welcome install screen the system is freezing for about 5 minutes, no mouse pointer moving and after coming out of frozen status the continue button can't be pressed.
Then I've changed the usb device with one of 4GB because for installation it is recommended a minimum 2GB device but the same thing is happening. Even changed the system with x64 bit version but the same things happened.

If you can install 11.10 perfectly then I would do so and then upgrade to 12o4. Your update manager will notify you of new release upgrade. Its a long way around that way, but I have used it on occasion.

Or you could try the Alternate Install CD

I'm having a similar issue with the same graphics card. I can't install older versions either.
