i notice more frequent spams in the ubuntuforums,...
how does ubuntuforums approach on eradicating or minimizing these?

moderators ban accounts, and sit around all day helping answer questions and delete post's, they do a good enough job that it seems like there is always a moderator here when you need them

If the spam is in the mailing-list areas, there is nothing we can do about it.

If it's in the other areas of the forum, under each person's name is a red icon with an "X" in the middle - click on it and let the staff know it's spam. We'll get rid of it and the person that posted it. :)
