Hi folks,
using 12.04 with classic gnome..
does anyone know how to display the date in the top panel bar like in previous versions of ubuntu (the time is displayed but not the date)?

Also previous versions had a range of applets which had a number of add ons like sleep inhibitor...
and desktop shortcuts and quick launch from the top panel bar- am i right in saying that these are all gone from the classic gnome in 12.04?

thanks for all replys!

Use super + Alt + right click or Alt + right click to access the add to panel menu and properties. I don't know what additional applets if any may be available in synaptic for classic.
