rhythmbox stops responding when i add a directory of mp3 files from "my music" from a windows ntfs partition.
i copied one of the directories containing the music of one album to my ubuntu home directory, and tried to add it to rhythmbox again, and it stopped responding all the same. only after deleting all the non-mp3 files (albumart, desktop.ini, thumbs.db) was i able to add the directory to rhythmbox.
is there a way to configure rhythmbox to just ignore those non-music files when adding a directory?

I can't answer the question regrettably but also have problems with RB. When I try to stream via Shoutcast I get thisn error - There is no element present to handle the stream's mime type audio/mpeg.

Do any of you good prople know what is missing - looks like some sorty of plugin is absent. It works ok on XMMS

Many thanks for your time.

Colin

when I installed warty I had the same or similar problems with rhythmbox. After I got all the updates and installed every gstreamer package that was available. Rhythmbox worked fine.
