Hello,

I live in a student apartment (for Finnish forum users this is HOAS apartment) where I get my Internet connection straight from the rj45 plug. I just need put my rj45 wire to that plug and off I go to the wonderful world of the Internet.

My wife has Mac BookPro. I would like to make a wireless Internet connection to her. I have ZyXEL P-660HW-D1(F) modem. I know how to use that modem as a wireless router when living in a flat were I get my Internet connection from a phone wire plug. But in this student flat I don't know how to do it.

Now, how do I make that modem a wireless router to that Internet connection which comes straight from wall? I have tried some setups without any luck. Also I've red the user manual but couldn't find any help there.

Could you please point me to some directions?

Here is the link for the ZyXEL P-660HW-D1(F) user manual: http://www.zyxel.com/web/support_download_list.php?indexflag=20040906173729&ModelIndexflags=0,420041221102511,420041221102520, 420050117110858,420050117110916,420050117110934,42 0050831093216,420050831095441,420060420160946,4200 60420161739,420060816160116#

Thanks!

The modem can only do what you want if it has an Ethernet input port. I think you need to get a router.
