Hi, I recently installed Wine via a scripted named Automatix. Until now all my Window games have been working quite well.

I installed Warcraft III without problems through wine (actually the installation was quite smoothe). However when it comes to launching it, the game is unplayable because everything is just teribbly laggy.

I did some research and found out that i had to add the -opengl perimeter when launching WCIII. But when I did an error popped up saying that Warcraft III could not initilize my OpenGL Drivers.

I am sure that I have all the latest OpenGL librairies (well Mesa) and I was wondering if anyone had a solution. Is it a problem with Automatix, or do i have do some tweaking in winecfg?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem, I might be able to help if you post the last lines of outprints you get when you try to run WC3.
And do you got a nVidia card?
Do you have AMD64 Ubuntu? (If so, are you using chroot, or how did you install wine (more exactly).)
