View Full Version : [ubuntu] Permanent Root Privileges?

March 31st, 2012, 08:06 PM

I installed Ubuntu 11.10 my computer with VMware 8.02 to my computer. Everything works fine.

But when i try do something like changing some settings or similer stuff Ubuntu asks me for password. How to stop asking me any password while logged in as user?

I am not asking this for terminal i am asking how to for desktop. I tried to edit sudoers, tried to change my user group. But nothing worked.

Is it possible to be like a root, i mean extremly same privileges with root. Like logged in as root?

I am using this Ubuntu install on VMware and its not problem to harm my system. So i want to be super user on my system.

If its not possible stopping to ask password is enough for me :D

Thanks in advance..

I think it's best you search in google for this. We don't support such questions, even though you run it through vmware. It can seriously mess security big times for people not knowing what they do and why.

I'm closing this thread and hope you find your answer via google.

To those who read this thread; Do not login as root - your system will be as bullet proof as a paper bag.
