Hello

I would kindly like some advice.

I would like to build an Ubuntu Small business server for a small office It is likely I will deploy Ubuntu or Mint for desktops but Windows XP/ 7 will be on laptops. Here is what I would like the server to be configured to do. (The site will have limited internet access)

1. Perform regular backups of other clients on the network.
2. Share the printer
3. Monitor system health of clients using something similar to spiceworks http://www.spiceworks.com/
4. I was thinking of making the desktops thin clients but I have never been able to successfully implement LTSP (I'm a newbie)

Internet access is limited so I would like to do the following

2. Host antivirus updates on the server and point the clients to it for updates if not using terminal server.
3. Use it to relay email ( I don't know if there is such a thing, but I was thinking that if the server goes online once every few hours to send and receive emails) and the desktops receive their emails using a mail client e.g. thunderbird.

Please can anyone advise if the above are possible and a few pointers as well. Sorry for the long list and I hope this has been posted in the right area too

One last thing it how easy would it be to manage the setup once it's up and running?

Many thanks in advance
