Window size on opening

Is anyone else having the problem were certain apps aren't opening in the correct window size?
Ive attached 3 screenshots, the first 2 act as if maximized, but as you can see leave a gap at the bottom.
The system monitor is the opposite, it opens as if minimized, but cuts off the bottom.
Tried resetting compiz, but no change.

Yep, me too.
gcStar also affected.
Hitting the maximise button twice alleviates the problem.
Will look for a bug report.

This problem seems to have been resolved with the latest round of updates.:p

Spoke too soon, more updates & the problem is back.

Only 9 days to final release and this issue still exists.
There are 2 bug reports but only about 7 subscribers.
This is definitely a compiz/unity problem as there is no problem in gnome-shell or xubuntu.
Hope its fixed soon. I no its only cosmetic but it needs fixing.
