i've got tally as a subject in this semester..so i need to install it in ubuntu..does tally erp work in ubuntu??otherwise i gotta switch to windows..

please reply me guys..i need to work with tally..

It would appear not...the wine appdb rates it as 'garbage' i.e.bad.

Tally.ERP is not compatible with Wine, however I would actually believe that it would run in a virtual machine. Download a virtual machining software, such as Oracle VirtualBox, and install Windows in it. That way, you can keep Windows from messing with your Ubuntu installation, and still run Ubuntu while you are using Windows.

can't switch from tally to Openbravo erp (http://kratos-hosting.net/program-erp-soft-erp) or such?
